プロローグ

大学生のまりなは、忙しいキャンパスライフの合間に、いつも立ち寄るパン屋に向かっていた。今日もいつものようにお気に入りのクロワッサンを買うため、何気なくパン屋の前を歩いていたその時——

1. 偶然の再会

まりなは、パン屋の前でふと立ち止まった。目の前に立っているのは、どこか見覚えのある顔。それは幼馴染のたくみだった。彼とは10年ぶりの再会。「まりな？」とたくみが声をかけた瞬間、まりなも気づく。「たくみ！？久しぶり…」と、驚きとともに懐かしい気持ちが湧き上がる。

「元気にしてた？」とまりなが声をかけ、2人はしばらく立ち話をした。パン屋の香ばしい匂いの中で、昔話やお互いの近況を語り合う。まりなは運命的な再会を喜びながら、10年という時間の流れにどこか不思議な感覚を抱いていた。

2. 偶然の再会に潜む違和感

But gradually, Marina noticed the coldness in Takumi’s gaze and how, each time they met, his knowledge of her life seemed alarmingly detailed.

4. The Truth Revealed

One day, while they were sitting in a café together, Marina finally asked the question that had been gnawing at her. “Hey, why do we keep running into each other? Isn’t it a bit too much to be just a coincidence?” Takumi’s expression darkened for a brief moment, but then he smiled and replied, “Marina, I’ve been watching you all this time. Ever since you started university…”

Marina’s heart froze. In that moment, she realized that the childhood friend she had trusted was, in fact, stalking her. Takumi continued, “I couldn’t stop thinking about you, so I followed you, always keeping an eye on you.”

5. The Inescapable Conclusion

Marina stood up from her seat, clutching her bag with trembling hands, preparing to run. But Takumi, still smiling, said, “You can’t escape, Marina. I’ve been by your side all this time, and I always will be.”
